LADY GAGA OFFICIAL VIDEO BAD ROMANCE PREMIERE! 16 NEW VOGUE PHOTOS! ALBUM HALF PRICE!

November 9, 2009.
Lady Gaga announced on German TV yesterday that her new album, The Fame Monster, still set for a November 23rd release, will not only be completely new, it will cost half the original price! Here’s the complete transcript translation from her appearance on the German talk show Wetten Dass. You can also watch a video from the program, along with her brand spankin’ new official video for the single “Bad Romance” at the bottom of this post.
.

Video capture photo from Lady Gaga's new official video "Bad Romance," showing everyone dressed in white. Lady Gaga revealed the plot of the video to MTV News last week: ”There’s this one shot in the video where I get kidnapped by supermodels. I’m washing away my sins and they shove vodka down my throat to drug me up before they sell me off to the Russian mafia.”
.
WETTEN DAS HOST: Welcome! Good evening!

GAGA: Hi everybody! Nice to meet you. How are you?

HOST: Please!

GAGA: Oh I need extra space.

HOST: Extra space. With the scythe in the bag. Welcome!

Photo from Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" video, showing the synchronized dancing. "Tough female spirit is something that I want to project. It's meant to be. This is my shield, this is my weapon, this is my inner sense of fame, this is my monster," Gaga told MTV last week, in reference to the video.

GAGA: Thank you so much! I’m so happy to be here! HOW ARE YOU GUYS DOING?

HOST: I’m looking forward to every guest on my show, but had never been so excited to meet somebody in person who you know from music, who you know from the videos, the music. First I listened to “Poker Face” I knew that it’s gonna be a hit. Madonna needed many many years to reach this, but you got it in a very short time, that someone like me want Lady Gaga in his show. How have you reached this so quick?

Photo of the Lady Gaga dancers from her new video "Bad Romance"

GAGA: Well, the first thing I would like to say is happy birthday to Roman, your son. 27 years. Happy birthday!

HOST: Oh, that’s kind! A world star with heart!

Photo of Lady Gaga with two women in "Bad Romance" video. Are they going to baptise or bathe her?

GAGA: Well, actually I am. The truth is my success is only because of my fans. I have the most wonderful fans of the whole world and I love you all! In fact I have a really big announcement to say. On your show. Especially for you. I’ve been fighting with my record label because my album as a re-release was entirely too expensive. So last night I ripped it in half. So I will release an entirely new album on Nov 23rd. Half the price so that my fans don’t have to spend too much money.

HOST: Congratulations!

GAGA: Thank you!

HOST: Thank YOU! I always think the same. Usually the show is only one hour and a half, but I do 3 hours. You said your fans are from all over the world, but for Germany you have got preferences though. You’re interested in the Bauhaus Style, you read Rilke. Why do you like German culture, German architecture, German lyrics?

.
GAGA: Well, Rilke for me has been sort of my bible. Actually I have a Rilke tattoo on my arm. I got this in Osaka, Japan. “In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?”
.

.
GAGA: Well, I also spent much time in Germany and all over Eastern Europe and actually the new record, The Fame Monster, was inspired by Gothic industrial music, that I discovered here in Germany. So I produced and wrote all the music on the album and it’s a pop-experimentation with Gothic-industrial beats. For my fans.

HOST: And here we go with the World Premiere of the new single “Bad Romance” and we’re going to see half a minute of it.

GAGA: I can’t wait for you guys to see it.

.GAGA: He is so smart, he’s unbelievable and you know for me growing up and going to school and being a part of places I just really didn't fit in, I felt like a freak and then I discovered David Bowie. And I felt like I wasn’t alone.

RESULTS X FACTOR SHOW 5: DANYL JOHNSON MADE IT THROUGH! 35 PHOTOS! 14 VIDEOS! FINALISTS: Olly, Lloyd, Lucie, Jamie, Stacey, John, Edward, Joe, Lewis!

November 9, 2009.
Danyl Johnson’s back on top! Our favorite bisexual X Factor 2009 contender Danyl Johnson cleared another hurdle on the British reality show by singing a perfect rendition of “Purple Rain” that surely had Prince rocking in his shoes. The Saturday and Sunday shows were punctuated with the considerable talents of guest performers Leona Lewis and the Black Eyed Peas. Today we bring you videos of those awesome “Movie Week” performances as well as songs by all eight final contestants.

Danyl took the stage sporting a new short butch haircut that accentuates his big eyes and chiseled features to perfection. He was back to his old self-assured self!
.

.
The X Factor website caught up with Danyl Johnson at the London-based studios earlier in the week to discuss his "Purple Rain" preparations and his reemergence from last week’s confidence crisis.

Danyl talked about Purple Rain, the movie. “The best thing about the film is the soundtrack. It’s got some absolutely cracking songs on it like 'When Doves Cry' and the song I’m singing, 'Purple Rain.' It’s like a dark version of “Moonwalker” or something . . . trying to be a bit mean and moody, a bit cool, but not really pulling it off. But as far as the songs go, it’s awesome!”

Danyl listens to music on his iPod while Tweeting his fans. November 5, 2009 photo

Saturday night’s performance placed Danyl back in the contender’s seat after a rocky couple of weeks, and he noted the overwhelming messages of support he’d received through Twitter and Facebook helped pull him through his funk.

“I just had a really bad couple of weeks, I was feeling really low and I couldn’t seem to shake it off,” Danyl said. “It ended up with me sort of crumbling last Saturday night, so I was so relieved when my name was read out the next evening during the results show and I knew the public had voted me in.”

Photo of Danyl Johnson texting

“You have to go really deep down sometimes in order to pick yourself back up; and I’m now feeling much more like my old self,” Danyl continued. “I had a lot of support from friends and family and everyone in the house were great. I also received lots of lovely messages from fans of the show, and they made me feel much better—so thank you everyone!”

“Being on the show is a bit like being on a giant hamster wheel,” he said. “But as each week passes another milestone is reached. I’m feeling good again now, and I just hope I can deliver a good performance when I get out on stage.”

Danyl delivered! His rendition of "Purple Rain" received a standing ovation from Simon Cowell and a plethora of favorable comments from the other judges. Danyl Johnson is back!

Dannii Minogue’s Stacey Solomon, 21, started the show with “Son of a Preacher Man.” I was not impressed, even though I am indeed the son of a preacher man.

Host Dermot O'Leary talks to Stacey Solomon after she sang "Son of a Preacher Man" Saturday night. 11-7-09 photo
.
“It’s lovely to see you looking so sexy,” said Cheryl Cole. “That was your most confident looking performance you’ve done so far.”

Simon Cowell disagreed. “Typical talent show competition. Like eating Chinese food, you don’t really feel anything afterwards.”

“The song lacked a little bit of emotion,” said Louis Walsh.
.

.
Dannii Minogue said, “All I have to say is how out of touch Simon Cowell is. You have tones in your voice like Dusty Springfield. It was brilliant!”

My take on Stacey Solomon’s performance: “Not impressed.”

Olly Murs, mentored by Simon Fuller, danced his way through “Twist and Shout,” leaving Simon delighted but sparking fiery debate between the other judges.

“I wasn’t crazy about the silly dancing,” Louis Walsh said. “You’re much better. . . Simon picked a silly song for a great performer . . . Simon, why the silly song?”

Dannii Minogue was reserved. “You sang beautifully but something looks like you didn’t believe in the song.”

“You are singing a lot of retro songs,” noted Cheryl Cole. “The only thing I want to do now is hear you singing soul.”

Simon Cowell was defensive but triumphant, noting the roar of the crowd. “The audience is speaking. Great show! Fantastic!”

My take: “Entertaining. Good but not great.”

Next up was Cheryl Cole’s protégé, Lloyd Daniels, 16. The Welsh teenager sang his way through “Stand By Me” and demonstrated a bit of flare as he serenaded his beaming mentor.

Louis Walsh said, “You were better than last week but at this point in the competition, there are four better guy singers. You’re out of your depth.”

“It was a cute performance,” Dannii Minogue noted. “It was a nice performance, but you missed the high note.”

Simon Cowell was cruel as usual. “Your voice wasn’t big enough for the song.”

“I thought it was your most comfortable vocal you’ve done so far,” said Cheryl Cole. “It was funky. It was cool.”

My take: “He’s cute as a button, but he was little out of tune. Definitely not funky or cool.”

Mentor Simon Cowell’s Jamie Archer hit the stage with his version of Roy Orbison’s “Crying,” dressed in a white t-shirt and jeans.

“Great song,” said Louis Walsh. “A very emotional performance. Best yet.” Then he turned to Simon Cowell and said, “You’re a cheat. It wasn’t from a big movie.”

Dannii Minogue was smiling from ear to ear. “Emotional performance. It was heartfelt.”

“The song suited you beautifully,” said Cheryl Cole.

Simon gushed. “Best performance by a male. Congratulations.”

My take: “Excellent. He’s going to give Danyl Johnson a run for his money.”

The first performance during the second half of Saturday’s show was by “chick rocker” Lucie Jones, 18, sponsored by Dannii Minogue. She sang “This is Me,” from Disney’s Camp Rock movie.

Louis Walsh said, “You looked like a pop star. I predict you’re going to be the last girl standing.”

Cheryl Cole was less accommodating. She said, “You need to loosen up.”

“This is the first time for me you’ve made yourself relevant as a pop artist,” said Simon Cowell to a surprised audience.

Dannii Minogue said simply, “I’m not the only one who loves Lucie! Beautiful performance!”

Lucie Jones relaxes on a bean bag chair Thursday at the X Factor house. 11-5-09 photo

My take: “Mediocre.”

After his somewhat sheepish appearance during the previous episode’s Rock week show, Simon Cowell’s main protégé, Danyl Johnson, returned with a new short haircut and air of determination. X Factor’s website noted, “Once he unleashed his vocal chords on Prince’s Purple Rain it was clear that this week the teacher had his Mojo back!”

Through a chorus of screams, the judges unleashed a wave of praise and for the first time even Cheryl Cole seemed impressed. “I really like your demeanor tonight. You’ve lost the cocky attitude, but you’re not the broken man we saw last week.”

Louis Walsh said, “You won everyone over. You’ve got it all!”

“Love the new look!” said Dannii Minogue. “Really, really good. I like it when you don’t scream too much.”

Simon Cowell gave Danyl Johnson a standing ovation. “That was an outstanding vocal. This show has found a great singer. You are going to have a great career. I’m very proud of you!”

My take: “Superb! Danyl should win. He’s the only won with soul. And for the record, I actually prefer it when he screams!"

The Twink Twins John and Edward performed "Ghostbusters," to the delight of the crowd during the Saturday episode of X Factor's Live Show 5. 11-7-09 photo

Next up was the performance all the teenage girls were waiting for—the entertainment extravaganza that is the John and Edward show, mentored by Louis Wash. Surrounded by ghosts, devils and ghastly ghouls, the boys battled their way through “Ghostbusters” with amazing energy. The set was over the top, complete with a car, oozing slime, a multitude of dancers, and the marshmallow man!

Even Simon Cowell was complimentary, kind of. “We’ve established over the lst few weeks that you can’t sing, but based on some of the horrors we’ve seen before, this was sort of good!”

John and Edward get facials. But not the good kind. You heard me! 11-6-09 photo

Dannii Minogue was more reserved. “I love watching you guys perform, but I can’t imagine listening to you on the radio.”

“You bring fun to this show,” noted Cheryl Cole. “People absolutrely adore you.”

Brotherly love? Far from it, it's just John making out with his favorite singer--himself--in a mirror! 11-8-09 photo

Louis Walsh said, “Everywhere I go, people are talking about John and Edward.”

My take: “Cute, stupid, and fun! Kind of like Sanjaya Malakar was on American Idol, except they can’t sing.”

X Factor 2009 finalists Danyl Johnson, Lucie Jones, and Joe McElderry have fun with Karaoke 11-6-09 photo

Finally, Cheryl Cole’s Joe McElderry brought the proceedings to a close with The Lion King’s “Circle of Life.”

Unlike most of the judges, Louis Walsh was not impressed. “You’re more musical than pop star and this is a pop star competition,” he said, but then added, “You’ve got a lot more potential than that.”

“Joe you are the best male vocalist in the competition. Hands down,” declared Dannii.

Simon Cowell was kind in a limited way. “I think you should in enjoy this moment. That was a perfect song for you. But you’ve got to stop the stage school swaying.”

Joe McEdlerry flashes a smile backstage before the X Factor Results 5 Show Sunday. 11-8-09 photo

Naturally, Cheryl Cole’s comments were filled with praise. “Every week I love working with you. So proud to watch you singing like that.”

My take: “Great voice. Great face. I’d gay marry him in a minute if Danyl wasn’t available!”

It was a great night. I was thrilling to see our favorite bisexual crooner, Danyl Johnson, back on top!

Photo of Danyl Johnson taking time to pose for photographers with a fan

On Sunday night’s Results Show 5, the eight finalists did a rousing performance of Katy Perry’s “Hot ‘n Cold,” which had them bouncing around the stage as if they were nerve-free.

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas sings next to the Half Moon she descended on during Sunday night's X Factor performance. 11-8-09 photo

Then the Black Eyed Peas performed their new single “Meet Me Halfway.” Fergie descended from the heavens on a crescent moon and was soon joined by Will.i.am who flew across the audience and over the judges’ heads onto the stage.

Next up, last season’s X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, returned to the stage that launched her wildly successful solo career, to sing her new single “Happy” in her usual spectacular style!

Last year's X Factor winner Leona Lewis sings "Happy" from her new album Echo. 11-8-09 photo

Finally, it was time to for host Dermot O’Leary to announce the names of the final six. “The two acts who will be singing for their survival are . . . John & Edward and Lucie Jones.”

Up first was Lucie Jones singing her idol Whitney Houston’s song “One Moment In Time.” The 18-year-old delivered a remarkably composed performance and nailed those tricky to reach high notes.

The twins went on to perform “Rock DJ” for a second time in the competition. As usual, they failed to hit the right notes but the audience didn’t seem to give a hoot, judging by the applause.

Lucie Jones hugs her mentor Dannii Minogue after receiving word she's in the bottom two during Sunday's X Factor Results 5 Show. 11-8-09 photo

So, without further ado, it was back to the judges for their decisions.

Louis Walsh told Lucie Jones, “No way you should’ve been in the bottom two, but I do mentor the boys, so I’ve got to save them. Therefore, I have to send you home.”

Without explanation, Dannii Minogue said, “The act I’m sending home tonight is John and Edward.”

John and Edward wore plaid when they sang "Rock DJ" as their song of redemption during the 2009 X Factor Results 5 Show. 11-8-09 photo

The Twins’ mentor, Cheryl Cole tried to be diplomatic. “I just want to say I’ve come to love you two guys, but tonight I’m going to send John and Edward home.”

Simon Fuller had more questions than answers. “ Who would I rather see again? I’d probably rather see the boys, but . . . I’m going to let the public decide, again.”

John and Edward flank Host Dermot O'Leary with Lucie Jones as they wait for the final word during the X Factor Results 5 Show. 11-8-09 photo

Host Dermot O’Leary took his time announcing the final decision, as is usual in these reality shows. “The act who received the fewest votes from the public . . . and who will be leaving the competition tonight is . . . Lucie!”

Once again, England has spoken, with controversy according to some people, mainly Lucie Jones supporters! Only seven acts survive to sing another day in the battle to become the next X Factor reigning champion. Thank God and the Gays that Danyl Johnson is among the finalists!

BEST of JOY BEHAR SHOW VIDEOS! Prejean, Griffin, Sykes, Tomlin, Bernhard, Contone, Drescher, Tyler! 7 FUNNY VIDEOS!

November 7, 2009.
Sandra Bernhard had words of wisdom on the November 5th episode of The Joy Behar Show, which airs on HLN week nights at 8:00 p.m. Central: “We need to stop doing straight people’s hair, we need to stop decorating their homes, and we need to stop designing their clothes, and then we’ll see how quickly they come around and let us have gay marriage. Because we do everything that makes them look chic and hot and hip.” However, Joy Behar was quick to point out that most Republicans don’t look that chic. For instance, take the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) leader, Maggie Gallagher, but then what self-respecting gay would fix that hate-filled cow’s hair anyway?
.

Campy photo of bisexual comedienne Sandra Bernhard, who broke television barriers when she played a lesbian on Roseanne
.
Thursday night’s Joy Behar Show covered a lot of subjects, the most fun being the latest story about disgraced ex-Miss California Carrie Prejean, who made headlines over and over during the last year because of her bigoted views on gay civil rights, in particular same-sex marriage. The most recent news about this hypocritical fundamentalist Republican is the delicious story wherein she gives herself the finger in a sex tape video, something millions of LGBT people have been dying to do since she first stormed onto the national scene! I wonder if she knows that diddling herself means she’s doing it with a woman! At last, we’re getting some closure on the Carrie Prejean story. Hallelujah! I doubt we’ll ever see her self-righteous, Bible-thumping ass again!

Wanda Sykes caused President Obama to chuckle while performing for the 2009 White House Correspondents Association dinner earlier this year. Sykes took aim at GOP radio host Rush Limbaugh, saying “Maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight. She also said she hoped Limbaugh’s “kidneys fail,” a reference to Limbaugh's statement that he hopes the Obama presidency fails. Be sure to watch the new Wanda Sykes Show tonight (11-7-09) on Fox (where Mad TV used to be) at 10:00 p.m. CT. June 24, 2009 photo

Although it’s not easy to pick the best of The Joy Behar Show because nearly all the episodes so far are true classics even though the show’s only been on the air since September 29th of this year, I’ve picked the gayest interviews I could find. Joy has been a supporter of gay and lesbian civil rights for years and has followed through on her new show by hosting a bevy of fantastic guests of interest to the LGBT community. Usmagazine.com reports that “the American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, 27, and Drake LaBry, 24, the interior designer, have ended their relationship. They're still friends, and it's totally mutual," the source told Us. "They will still talk and see each other. And there's very little drama behind the split. It's all about timing—and Lambert's on-the-launch pad career.”

"Adam is crazy busy right now getting the album done and squeezing in rehearsals," the source continued, referring to Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, out Nov. 23. "They both felt this moment is too important for Adam to focus on anything else but getting this album out and having it be a huge hit."

.
.
Proving he has a sense of humor, Adam Lambert took a Sharpie to his own For Your Entertainment album cover and then sent this resultant Twitpic "revision" to his fans, noting it's resemblance to Dave Navarro ("My album cover is dressed up as Dave Navarro for HalloPeen")!

RESULTS! DANYL JOHNSON CLEARS X FACTOR 2009 LIVE SHOW 4 CUT! 31 NEW PHOTOS, 12 VIDEOS! Lloyd, Joe, Olly, Rachel, Twins, JLS, Bon Jovi!

November 2, 2009.
Despite disparaging remarks during Rock Week from most of the judges on X Factor 2009’s 4th Live Show that visibly discouraged our favorite doe-eyed bisexual crooner contestant, Danyl Johnson survived yet another round in the grueling London competition finals Halloween night. This time he managed to stay clear of the bottom two, unlike last week when he had to hold on for dear life.
.
Great photo of Danyl Johnson that features his big eyes and sumptuous lips
.
Danyl, 27, sang a subdued Aerosmith’s “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” probably because he’s been repeatedly called on the carpet for being “too cocky” by both the judges and the press. But apparently, there’s no pleasing those consistently critical adjudicators.
.

.
Danni Minogue said, “It’s like you’ve lost your Mojo . . . It picked up toward the end but was out of tune right at the beginning.”

Louis Walsh stated that there was no way Danyl should have been in the bottom two last week but told him: “You need to pick yourself up and get back in the race.”

Cheryl Cole bordered on being cruel. “You’ve obviously had massive damage done to your self-confidence," she said. "You just don’t do it for me.”

Simon Cowell, Danyl Johnson’s sponsor, defended his finalist by claiming Danyl was in a no-win situation. “When he comes out confident he’s cocky. When he decides to tone it down, (you say) he needs to be cocky,” Simon told the judges. Then he turned to Danyl and said, “You are still the best singer in the competition.” We wholeheartedly agree! In our opinion, Danyl Johnson is the only one with soul.

Contestants Jamie Archer and Danyl Johnson get KP duty after an X Factor supper party last Monday. 10-26-09 photo

The X Factor website caught up with the Reading-based teacher Thursday to find out how he was feeling in the wake of the previous week’s events.

“Of course it’s not very nice to be in that position, but when you consider how good everybody was last Saturday, then there’s always going to be every chance that it’s going to be you. Somebody had to be in the bottom two, and this time it was me.”

The situation was made all the harder by the fact Danyl was up against his close friends Miss Frank, the female trio he had bonded with most.

“It’s sad because there’s a massive hole in the house now that Miss Frank have gone,” Danyl continued. “They were all such big personalities and I’m missing them badly . . . I think we all are.”

Danyl Johnson talks to X Factor the night before the big Rock Week show. 10-30-09 photo

“Being in the bottom two on Saturday was horrible, and it was made even worse because I was standing there next to Miss Frank,” said Danyl. “It’s like being on a football team and you and your best mate are the last ones to get picked . . . but they only need one of you. That’s what it feels like.”

Sunday’s X Factor Results recap on Sunday regarding Saturday’s backstage goings-on revealed Danyl Johnson had broken into tears. They quoted him saying, “I don’t know how much I can take.” But speaking outside the X Factor house Sunday morning, he seemed unfettered. He said that being in the bottom two last week made him tougher. “I’m not bothered. It won’t stop me from winning the show. I’m fine. I will be fine in the coming weeks and it hasn’t affected my confidence whatsoever. It was a bit of a shock to me but I got through it and it has made me stronger.”

Photo of Danyl Johnson with his former Upfrunt band mate Stephen Blackie

Even though Dannii remarked on Saturday that the singer had “lost his Mojo,” Danyl said, “Simon knows talent when he sees it and hopefully he can make me into a star. Having him behind me has given me a huge advantage. Simon was shocked when I was in the bottom two; he didn’t think I should have been. I have been working this week the same as I have been every other week and I’m looking forward to getting back on the stage for another chance.”

Four other competitor’s are getting our attention this week, as they are the ones we believe Danyl has to beat—Olly Murs, Joe McElderry, Lloyd Daniels, and The "Twink" Twins John and Edward.

Promotional photo of Olly Murs, another contestant up against Danyl

Olly Murs, who has been called the most consistent contestant by the judges, swaggered his way through a rocked-up version of the Beatles classic, "Come Together."

Photo of Olly Murs getting a pep talk from Simon Cowell Sunday, November 1, 2009

“I absolutely adore you!” yelled Dannii.

Louis Walsh was adamant: “You’re the dark horse in the competition!”

“You’re definitely the most progressed contestant,” said Cheryl Cole. “You really impressed me!”

Olly Murs ends his number by ripping open his shirt Saturday night. October 31, 2009 photo

Simon Cowll’s comments were filled with rare praise: “Olly, I am very, very proud of you. You are progressing better than just about anybody right now. You did a great job.”

Contestant Joe McElderry, a young good-looking guy, seemed to impress the judges no end. Singing "Don’t Stop Believing" by Journey, he surprised everyone by nailing a rock song after being thought of as a balladeer.

Photo of X Factor contestant Joe McElderry, one of the guys who is giving Danyl a run for his money. Is it just me? My gaydar is sending out sirens! It tells me most of these competitors are gayer than Danyl!

“The voice is exceptional and you’re an absolute star,” said Dannii Minogue. “You looked so comfortable up there.”

Photo of Joe McEdlerry taken last Sunday, October 25, 2009

Louis Walsh was equally impressed: “You absolutely won me over. I believe you’ll be in the final.”

After a slight wardrobe-malfunction (See the Joe McElderry video at the bottom of this post) Cheryl composed herself in time to tell her north-east compatriot, “You are one of the most consistent performers we have . . . (but) it was a little bit limp in parts.”

Photo of Joe McEdlerry performing on X Factor 4 2009

But Cheryl Cole continued on a more positive note: “The calls I’ll get tonight are going to go through the roof. You’re going all the way to the end.”

Joe McEdlerry trying to be ghoulish during Friday night's X Factor Halloween party. October 30, 2009 photo

Simon Cowell gushed as well. “You even impressed me,” he said before questioning the point of the dancers, who swished and swayed in the background.

As for the “Twink Twins” (my tag), who sang a 5ive version of Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” I must say I don't understand how they have made it this far, as they’ve had trouble staying on tune during every song they’ve done so far and Saturday night was no exception. It must be their eight-inch pompadours or maybe it’s the dimples that keep impressing everyone. No dimples, you say? How would you know?

Promotional X Factor photo of the Twins John and Edward

Dannii Minogue got right to the point. “It is Halloween and that was quite scary!”

John and Edward perform "We Will Rock You" Saturday night on X Factor 2009 Live Show 4. 10-31-09 photo

“It’s two young kids living their dream,” said Louis Walsh. “The audience loved them.” He also said they were “energetic, entertaining, and exciting.”

Cheryl Cole was even more optimistic: “I felt like I was rocking for that song,” she said.

X Factor vampire Twins John and Edward bite contestant Stacey Soloman's neck at the Friday night Halloween party 10-30-09 photo

Simon continued his crusade to speak truth to the boys. “It was Night of the Living Death,” he said. “Singing Queen out of tune, possibly destroying Queen’s career forever.”

Photo of Danyl Johnson holding his hands up in the air for good luck

Lloyd Daniels, 16 and blond, nearly came out of the closet by singing Katie Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl,” and to everyone’s surprise, said he liked it!

Promo photo of teen crooner Lloyd Daniels

Dannii Monogue seemed to be blushing. “You are the heartthrob here. I’ll bet every one of your female fans wish that was about them.”

Lloyd Daniels sings Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" at Saturday's Live Show 4. 12-31-09 phot

Louis Walsh was less kind, with, “You’ve done a great little pop song but this was Rock Week.”

Photo of a shirtless Lloyd Daniel taking a shower to compliment an X Factor website story about what the contestants sing in the shower, which we forget because we were thinking about something a little more lascivious!

Cheryl Cole, Lloyd Daniel’s sponsor, told Lloyd, “We took a great risk . . . and everybody loves you just how you are . . . You are a little pop star and you should be in a band.”

Photo of Lloyd Daniels and Danyl Johnson clowning around while watching other X Factor contestants rehearse Sunday 11-1-09

“I was more impressed with you walking, than I was with the singing!” Simon exclaimed, before adding, “I thought that was terrific.”

On Sunday night’s results presentation, all nine acts got the show off to a rocking start with a group performance of "Walk This Way."

Then Bon Jovi showed us how the pros do it by performing their new single "We Weren’t Born To Follow."

Photo of X Factor judges Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogure, Cheryl Cole, and Simon Cowell with Bon Jovi (center) on Sunday. November 1, 2009 photo

This time last year JLS ended up X Factor runners-up, but like a lot of contestants who didn’t make it to number one on their respective reality shows, they made it to the top of the billboard charts anyway. Sunday, they returned as double MOBO (Music of Black Origin—a prestigous UK awards show) winners to perform their new single "Everybody In Love."

Photo host Dermot O'Leary with JLS, who performed "Everybody in Love" during the X Factor 2009 4 Results Show Sunday, November 1, 2009

Although there are a couple more contestants, I’ve chosen to ignore them, as I don’t think they are going to make it very much further. However, I will tell you about Rachel Adedeji, who found herself in the bottom two Sunday night, along with Lloyd Daniels.

Last week’s Big Band show was the first time Rachel Adedeji stayed out of the bottom two. She delivered a classy version of the U2 smash "One" on Saturday night, but it didn’t help, in spite of receiving accolades from the judges.

Dannii Minogue was full of praise. “That was an amazing performance!” she exclaimed. “You allowed yourself to be vulnerable.”

“The most emotional performance of the entire night,” squealed Louis Walsh.

Cheryl Cole added: “Your voice, out of the girls, is my favorite.”

Simon was his usual bitchy self. He said he liked the final third of the song but not her look.

X Factor contestant Rachel Adedeji promo photo

So come Sunday night, it was time to face the results, and after host Dermot O’Leary finished reading the names out loud, only Rachel Adedeji and Lloyd Daniels were left. Danyl Johnson had made it through!

Rachel bravely took to the sing-off stage for the third time and delivered a perfect rendition of "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" by Oasis. Lloyd battled through Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful," but a sore throat prevented him from hitting all the high notes.

Dannii and Louis opted to save Rachel, Cheryl stuck by Lloyd, and when Simon couldn’t decide, it was taken to the public vote . . . and with that Rachel Adedeji was gone.

The public has spoken again, or at least the people with the tenacity to vote over and over again. Eight acts remain, as week by week we get closer to crowning The X Factor 2009 champion.

Thanks to all those United Kingdom residents who for Danyl! Keep up the good work! Next week the Black Eyed Peas and Leona Lewis will perform. Cross your fingers for our comrade Danyl!
