January 12, 2010.
Adam Lambert appeared on the Billboard FUSE TV show On the Record last night and was interviewed by Touré. Adam talked about make-up, Michael Jackson, Madonna, coming out of the closet, his parents, being a role model for young gays, American Idol, his debut album, For Your Entertainment, and its cover art. Describing the moment his dad discovered him watching gay porn, Adam said his Dad simply stated, "That's your business. That's okay.” Lambert praised his dad for not making him feel guilty.

About his notoriously fabulous American Music Awards (AMAs) performance, Adam Lambert said, "Obviously the real difference is that I'm a gay dude. You know what I mean? And I'm not a woman 'feigning' lesbianism. I think it got a little too real for people, maybe. And also I think, in that moment, the lyrics of the song are sexual in nature—it has a double meaning—I'm gonna put on a show.”

Adam continued, “I'm gonna give it to you, but the double meaning is I'm gonna hold you down and give it to you. When I was in that moment I was in an audience of industry people and other artists. That's who I was looking at in the audience. That's who I was thinking about, that I was playing to. If there were families in the front row, and children I'd probably would have had a different energy going on, but I just didn't think about it. I was in the moment."

Adam Lambert had this to say about the For Your Entertainment album artwork: “People saw that cover and they were like ‘He looks a little feminine to me, I don’t understand.’ I’m like yeah . . . I had so much airbrushing on that picture on purpose. The hunky dory cover that Bowie did, Boy George and Motley Crue and Prince—like all these artists that did this over the top, lipsticky glammy thing. The minute someone from ‘Idol’ does it, who’s actually gay, it’s like ‘Oh No!’”

Watch Vh1 this coming Friday to catch the premiere of Adam Lambert’s new official video “Whataya Want From Me!” Adam tweeted the following on Jan 11th at 12:04 PM: "Whataya Want From Me music video set to premiere between 6am-10am on Friday morning on VH1" In the meantime, scroll down to watch a 20-second sneak peek clip of the video!

Photo of Adam Lambert making a commercial for VEVO, the new (unholy) music video alliance between artists, labels, and YouTube. Unfortunately, since its inception, it's been racked with lots of problems. Not only are VEVO videos slow and jerky, they've blocked 100s of official videos already posted on the Internet (even ones from the artists' official YouTube channels), screwing up 1000s of fan websites. There is a grassroots movement to boycott VEVO and we support it completely. We don't believe Adam and other singers are aware of the horrible things VEVO is doing to the fans, so we don't blame him. Although you can watch a video of Adam behind the scenes while making this commercial at the base of this page, please be aware that VEVO has yet to release the actual commercial or the performance of Adam singing at the launch, and it's been over a month already. VEVO is truly one big mess! 12-8-09 picture

Adam Lambert won Best New Artist in the 2009 Z100 Z Awards! New York's Z100 radio station is one of the most popular in the city, boasting the hottest new tracks on the air as well as a radio show by American Idol's own Ryan Seacrest. 2009's fan-voted Z Awards bestowed the title Best New Artist on Adam, beating out Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and Idol winner Kris Allen, giving over half of the total votes to Adam. Here are all the results:

Lambert himself announced the win via Twitter: @adamlambert: "Woohoo!! Thanks to all who voted for the Z100 best new artist!! I'm honored :)" at 4:01 PM on Jan 4th. Check out the rest of the awards results on Z100's web site.

It is now definite that Adam will be on Oprah January 19, 2010 from 4pm to 5pm Central Time. The Chicago filming will take place on January 13 and will air January 19, 2010. Adam will be sharing the hour with Susan Boyle. Although the Internet is alive with rumors of a Lambert/Boyle duet, we just can’t see such a thing happening.

Adam Lambert will be presenting at the 15th Annual Critics Choice Movie Awards, which will air live for the third straight year on VH1 January 15, 2010 at 9:00PM ET/PT. The awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement.

Emmy and Tony Award winning gay-friendly actress/songstress, Kristin Chenoweth, will be taking the stage at the Hollywood Palladium as the host of the live Critics Choice show. The BFCA is the largest film critics' organization in the United States and Canada, representing more than 200 television, radio and online critics.

The Smoking Gun reports the FCC released copies of the 5000 complaints viewers filed in relation to Adam Lambert’s American Music Awards (AMAs) racy performance 11-22-09. And as you may have guessed, most of the letters are homophobic in nature. The correspondence was released after The Smoking Gun (TSG) filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FCC. A viewer from Rainbow City, Alabama thought that Lambert, who is gay, was "shoving his homosexuality down our throats."

An Ohio resident wrote of being glad their 94-year-old grandmother had gone to bed before Lambert's "disgusting" display. However, the viewer noted, the elderly relative first had to endure a Shakira performance during which the gyrating singer was seen "pushing her twat in my face." Read all of the hilariously pathetic letters at The Smoking Gun.

Watch this video:Behind the Scenes Adam lambert VEVO photo shoot: 12-8-09. BOYCOTT VEVO! The new music website (an unholy alliance of recording labels, YouTube, and recording artists) taking over YouTube, is the worst thing to happen to music videos ever. Their own videos are slow and jerky. They’ve blocked thousands of videos on official YouTube channels, including Lady Gaga’s own official YouTube page, screwing up 1000's of fan websites. They’re a public relations nightmare and should be boycotted until they stop messing up people’s blogs by deleting OR blocking official videos already posted on the Internet. VEVO is making enemies left and right. Tell your favorite music artists to wake up and disassociate themselves from VEVO! The fans need to make themselves heard! Tweet it! Facebook it! Digg it! BOYCOTT VEVO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here’s proof they are screwing up artists’ own websites: http://www.ladygaga.com/badromance/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=clickref&utm_campaign=tweet_to_review&utm_term:
