ADAM RESCUES PAMELA ANDERSON'S BOOBS FROM WARDROBE MALFUNCTION! MORE ADAM LAMBERT AWARDS!
January 3, 2010.
Today you can celebrate New Year's Eve with Adam Lambert via our awesome YouTube videos at the base of this post, but first we have a little news about the glam-tastic gay icon.

Be sure to watch the People’s Choice Awards on CBS Wednesday, January 6, 2010 9/8C. Adam Lambert is up for Favorite Breakout Music Artist, along with Lady Gaga, Susan Boyle, Kris Allen, and Demi Lavato. Unfortunately, the voting has closed, so we can no longer vote over and over and over again like we’ve been doing for the last few weeks! They do have another poll going on now that includes Adam, although there is no award for it. Click here to vote for your Favorite Phenomenon of 2009. The choices are Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, and Susan Boyle!

As we’ve posted before, Adam has been named Rolling Stone’s Artist of the Year, Visibility Award's Musician of the Year, LOGO’s Next Gay Icon 2009, MTV’s #3 Man of the Year, and one of Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating People of 2009. Now it was just announced that Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment CD came in fourth in Billboard's Reader Poll for Top Albums of 2009 and sixth in their Top Albums of the Decade, an amazing feat considering it was released a little over a month ago, on November 23rd!

Picture of Adam Lambert taken during a photoshoot for VEVO, a new alliance of record labels, YouTube, and recording artists. It was formed to help singers make more money from their videos but it has gone sour. Since it was formed, a grass-roots movement to boycott VEVO has begun to gain momentum. Not only is the new behemoth company taking over YouTube, they are systematically blocking official videos (already posted on -line) from artists' own official YouTube channels, totally screwing up 1000's of fan websites with reckless disregard. Plus their own videos are slow and jerky. Please join the boycott and tell your favorite singers that this is not the proper way to treat fans! 12-8-09 photo

Be sure to watch Adam Lambert on Billboard’s FUSE TV channel January 11, 2010 at 8:00 p.m./7c. For more information go the the FUSE website. Check FUSE’s channel finder here if you’re not sure where to find the program in your area. You can also watch FUSE on DirecTV channel 339 and DISH Network channel 158.

Lady Gaga was recently confronted by a fan in an Ottawa club for being friends with Adam Lambert.

According to the National Enquirer Lady Gaga was partying with acquaintances when a drunken man confronted her saying; “I saw you and Adam Lambert on the AMA show, and the guy’s a flaming faggot—and I also think that you’re actually a man!”

Gaga quickly retorted, “Well, that’s your opinion, isn’t it? And I’m not about to waste my time trying to change it.”

“Well, don’t you care that you’re both going to hell?” the man asked.

Lady Gaga stared the inebriated “Christian” in the face and said, “No—not as long as I don’t have to see your face there!”

“Well You’re a freak and so is he!” the fool told Lady Gaga.

“Okay, that’s it!” Gaga said. “Call me anything you want, but when you start calling my friends names, it’s over! It’s war!” Lady Gaga proceeded to pour a glass of wine on the drunken man and then left the club. Go, Gaga!

Now for a review of Adam Lambert’s New Year's Eve performance at Paramount Studios for GRIDLOCK's big show.

The Los Angeles Times reports Adam began the evening by asking the rhetorical question, “Do I look like a firework?” He gestured toward the sparkling glitter and shiny studs on his face and suit. “That was indeed my motivation!"

Sporting his signature finger-less gloves and going a little heavier than usual on the glitter and guyliner, Adam sang all ten songs from his debut album, For Your Entertainment, in front of 4,500 fans, each of whom had paid at least $150 to get in.

Amidst a fountain of fireworks, Lambert delivered, a little subdued compared to the AMAs but with the occasional crotch grab and pelvic thrust. In between the song “For Your Entertainment” and “Sleepwalker, he took a swig from a flask and said, “I’m not promoting alcoholism by any means . . . but long live rock ‘n’ roll!”

Gridlock reportedly had a small budget ($50,000) and Adam explained to reporters earlier in the night that "The show was thrown together last minute . . . kind of fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants." The LA Times said, “Indeed, his 40-minute performance lacked the sophisticated stage direction of Idol but felt more like a club gig, and Lambert, ever the showman, seemed happier for it.”

“Clearly relishing his headlining slot,” the LA Times continued, “Lambert hit his groove with dance-floor-ready songs such as ‘For Your Entertainment,’ the title track off his debut album, and ‘Fever,’ which, he explained to the crowd, was also recorded under the influence (Lady Gaga was to blame).”

The LA Times said, “Adam’s best moment was undoubtedly the grand finale: wailing Led Zeppelin's ‘Whole Lotta Love’ with the same conviction that carried him through four months of competition on American Idol.

“So was it as good for the crowd as it was for him?” the reviewer asked and then answered with, “The attendees seemed pleasantly surprised!”

The party itself spanned six studio-sized streets with multiple DJs and a second stage hosted by reality star Shayne Lamas.

One recent transplant from New York City, dancer Kumari Suraj of North Hollywood, marveled at how stress-free an L.A. New Year's can be. "This is like our fake New York on a smaller scale so we can tolerate it," she said. "It's nice."

Naturally, the person taking most stock of the environment was Lambert himself, who revealed earlier in the night that last year on New Year's Eve he was performing, at a cabaret just down the road on La Cienega Boulevard.

"I sang at midnight like I'm doing tonight," he reminisced. "Only there's a couple more people at this venue."

“Make that the last understatement of his fairy tale year,” the review noted. Click

We also have videos of Adam Lambert on Gridlock’s red carpet, where he was interviewed multiple times. "I had no idea what was in store for me in 2009," Lambert said during one of the video interviews. "It was the most incredible year of my life and hopefully 2010 will be even more.”

Adam Lambert is now one of the most talked about celebrities on the planet. His stint on American Idol made him so popular that even he can't believe it sometimes. And his raucous performance on the American Music Awards cemented his fame even more, regardless of what his detractors (mostly the Far Right) say. Adam Lambert now has fan clubs around the world. He has so many fan websites in the United States we can’t keep track of them all.

Adam Lambert also told one of the reporters during a GRIDLOCK interview that he has been "hibernating the last few weeks and eating a lot of food.”

Adam also talked about the suit he was wearing for the GRIDLOCK event. "I told them to make it shiny and fabulous and they did that."

Adam Lambert says he hopes to watch American Idol this season. Much like many of the past American Idol alums, he appears to still be a huge fan of the show. He offered this advice to future contestants on the show during the GRIDLOCK interview. "Have fun, pick something that stands out and be yourself."

Photos we never tire of posting, these pictures of Adam Lambert kissing and having fun with guys during his fantastic American Music Awards (AMAs) performance are among Billboard’s Top Photos of 2009. I suspect they are included in a hell of a lotta year-end lists, as they are still being “heard” ‘round the world! 11-22-09 pictures

When asked about what he is planning to do next with his career during the interview, Adam Lambert offered this response, "I don't know what's next. I am just trying to take it one day at a time. It's more fun."
