CNN just chose Lady Gaga as the “Best Breakthrough Artist of 2009!” In a recent review, they had this to say about her Atlanta Monster Ball Concert: “One of the most unusual ways Lady Gaga connects with her fans and propels herself to super stardom is by making them feel part of a special cult in which she is their queen and they are her "little monsters." She tells the story of how she saw a fan in Boston blasting her music in his car and couldn't get his attention until another guy in a different car rolled down his window and made a claw-like gesture. From that point on the claw became the universal gesture for Lady Gaga's little monsters.”

Lady Gaga has a new opening act, along with Semi Precious Weapons, and he’s hot as hell! Jason Derulo, pop singer and songwriter extraordinaire, is taking the music world by storm. His debut single “Whatcha Say,” quickly reached #2 on The BILLBOARD Top 100 and # 3 on ITUNES and has sold over 1.4 million singles thus far. After being discovered by super producer J.R. Rotem, American Idol judge, and Warner Bros. Senior Vice President of A&R, Kara DioGuardi, signed Derulo as the flagship artist for the new Beluga Heights /Warner Bros joint venture.

Jason joined Lady Gaga’s North American tour “Monster Ball” on December 27th. Jason says he is thrilled to be part of one of the hottest tours of the year. He told MTV news, "I am a big Gaga fan. I was talking about being on that tour for a pretty long time, and it's amazing that it actually fell in my lap like that.”
Jason Derulo kicked off his portion of the Monster Ball Tour on December 29th in Atlanta and will continue until the final show at Radio City Music Hall on January 21st. The Miami-born singer is the first artist signed to Warner Bros. Records’ new joint venture, with multi-platinum songwriter and producer J.R. Rotem’s record label Beluga Heights, which is responsible for launching the career of multi-platinum pop star Sean Kingston.
Derulo has written songs for Lil Wayne, Sean Kingston, Pitbull, Diddy and Danity Kane, and has shared stages with T-Pain, Akon, and Mims. Derulo will also be showcasing his acting abilities for the first time on the silver screen, making his feature film debut in the 2010 release of MTV Films’ Turn The Beat Around. With an album and movie on the way, Derulo is destined to make his mark for 2010. You know it’s true if Lady Gaga picked him to open for her.
