DANYL JOHNSON FAVORED TO WIN X FACTOR AMID BISEXUAL FUROR OVER DANNII MINOGUE'S REMARKS! 27 PHOTOS 5 VIDEOS!

Although one of my two favorite X Factor contestants, Ethan Boroian, recently got the boot, doe-eyed bisexual contender, Danyl Johnson, is now a top twelve finalist who is widely favored to win the whole contest on British TV.

Meanwhile, fallout continues over judge Dannii Minogue’s remarks after Danyl’s stunning Saturday performance of “And I’m Telling You,” when she noted it shouldn’t have been necessary for him to have changed the gender tag in the song, “if we are to believe what we read in the papers.” That was a reference to a September interview with the UK Mirror, wherein Danyl told the world he is bisexual.

Celebrity World reported yesterday that “thousands of X Factor fans have complained to media regulator Ofcom and ITV about the X Factor judge Dannii Minogue’s on-air 'joke' about contestant Danyl Johnson’s sexuality."

"More than 4,500 angry viewers have logged formal complaints with the watchdog and the broadcaster. Ofcom is now considering whether to conduct a full investigation into the incident.”

All that, even though Dannii Minogue has already made a public apology for her remarks, which came during the judges' critiques after Danyl performed Jennifer Hudson’s song “And I’m Telling You,” but changed one of the words from “man” to “girl.”

Fellow judge Simon Cowell appeared shocked and asked Dannii to repeat her comments and then said it was a great performance and he’s not having any part of Dannii’s so-called "dis."

On Sunday night’s results show, host Dermot O'Leary introduced the judges and Minogue took the opportunity to apologize. “Danyl and I were joking about the very same thing in rehearsals on Friday, so it carried on to the show,” she said.

“I’d like to apologize to anyone that was offended by my comments,” Dannii continued, “It was never my intention. I spoke to Danyl straight after the show last night and he wasn’t offended or upset by my comments, and knew exactly what I was saying.”

“I understand X Factor fans do not want the judges to get personal with judging comments. During the course of the show all the judges become close to the contestants and this is because we adore them and care about them.”

Dannii declared on her blog, where she posted a photo of Danyl with his arm around her waist (posted at the bottom of this post), that she is “mortified if my comments have been misinterpreted as I have always been hugely supportive of the gay and bi-sexual community for my entire career.” Danyl, Simon, and the other judges have all come to Dannii's defense, saying it was all a big tadoo about nothing.

Danyl Johnson lives with his best friend just outside Reading in England and is a dance teacher at a boys prep school. He went to musical theatre school but says he didn't care for it.

Johnson has been in several boy bands over the years, some he labels as “credible and some cheesy.” He used to dance at the Pasha nightclub while attending college and now hosts a karaoke night in London on Thursdays. Danyl won Pub Stars in Hammersmith in 2005 for a prize of £2000.

Word on the street has it that Simon Cowell is working to bring the X Factor to the United States next year. I hope it pans out, as getting bits and pieces via YouTube is not enough, considering all the ear and eye candy the show brings to the world!

In the meantime, Danyl Johnson revealed he will be singing yet another "girl's song," this coming Saturday, noting it'll be Divas Week. "It's going to be hard," he said. "I think it's the fifth time I've sung a girl's song. I'm looking forward to it . . . I can't give much away . . . but it's a ballad . . . Hopefully I'll do it well and there should be a big note in there somewhere if Simon has his way with it."

Last night, Danyl Johnson sang Whitney Houston’s new song, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strenth.” Dannii Minogue stated, “That was flawless!” Cheryl Cole added, “Talk about challenging yourself, Danyl!
