Just as the movie, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, slithered to the number one spot at the box office, raking in $56.2 million during its weekend release, US Weekly announced that it has a video from 1999 of its star, Channing Tatum, dancing and stripping in a ribald Chippendales-like revue called Male Encounter.
.
Although the editors have so far deprived the public of this alleged video, they did release fuzzy photos/screen-caps from the clip, shown above and below. These pictures are featured in the current issue of US, on newstands now. Write your Congress person today to demand they pressure the magazine to release the entire video—a crucial piece of evidence! As Americans, we have the right to see the whole story!
UPDATE! US Weekly just released the video! Watch it at the bottom of this post!

US also said Tatum went by the name Chan Crawford and worked for $50 a day plus tips. The pictures show him shaking his booty and gyrating in his underwear. Apparently, the troupe had a policy of no complete nudity. Channing worked the gig for just under a year at a now-defunct South Florida nightclub.

“He was really shy at first, but he really knew how to work a stage,” the club’s former owner, London Steele, told the magazine. That engagement actually landed Tatum his first big break—as a featured dancer in Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs” video, after the producers caught the stripper act.

As well as being a being a stripper at the age of 18, PITNB states that Channing, now 29, used to model for high end fashion photo shoots that required that he be nude or semi-nude . . . for artistic purposes. See the naked photo of Channing Tatum at the bottom of this post.

The 6’ 1” Channing Tatum was born on April 26, 1980, in a small town called Cullman, outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up, he was full of energy and somewhat troublesome, so his parents decided to enroll him in different sports, including track and field, baseball, soccer, and football to keep him out of trouble.

Channing recently told the media, “I got crazy lucky. Like, sometimes I think I won the lottery or something. At times it feels like the bottom's gonna fall out. Just 'cause I don't really know how I got here. But I just keep moving forward, and it just keeps getting better and better.“
