For several million dollars, you can spend the after-life looking down on the mummified remains of history’s hottest woman, Marilyn Monroe. Elsie Poncher is advertising on eBay to auction off her dead husband’s tomb, located directly above the sex icon’s crypt, in Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
Poncher wants to pay off the $1.6 million mortgage on her Beverly Hills home, in order “to leave it free and clear for my kids.” She plans to move her oblivious husband’s remains to a spot reserved for her own body, which will now be cremated upon her demise. As of Sunday, August 16, the bidding had reached $2.5 million. For more information, go to Reuters.
