CHAMPION DANYL JOHNSON SIZZLES ON X FACTOR LIVE SHOW 6 RESULTS! 33 NEW PHOTOS! 14 VIDEOS! BABY PICs!Olly,Stacey,Jamie,Lloyd,Jedward,Joe, Shakira,Queen

November 16, 2009.
Bisexual crooner Danyl Johnson belted out a passionate rendition of gay icon Freddie Mercury’s legendary “We Are the Champions” sports anthem during X Factor’s Queen Week performance on Saturday night, much to the delight of all four judges. And not one of them accused the handsome doe-eyed singer of being cocky! Watch the video and read the judges’ comments later in this article.

What a week it’s been at the X Factor house! Each contestant had to choose a song made popular by the band Queen. But News Of the World reported yesterday that Simon had to bring order to the living quarters via “a team of psychologists and experts” after Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs were found kissing in spite of a no-relationship rule and the 18 year-old Twink Twins, now dubbed “Jedward” by the tabloids, were caught giggling while looking at Internet porn! Although rumors have surfaced about an affair between Danyl Johnson and Lloyd Daniels, that appears to be no more than idle gossip by hate-mongers, as Lloyd is only 16 and Danyl is anything but stupid.

A list surfaced this week on the X Factor website telling us about DANYL’s FAVORITE DRIVING ANTHEMS. They are:
1. “Standing In The Way of Control” - The Gossip
2. “Sex On Fire” - Kings Of Leon
3. “Harder To Breathe” - Maroon 5
4. “Cosmic Girl” - Jamiroquai
5. “Boom Boom Pow” - Black Eyed Peas

The first contestant to perform on Saturday night’s Live Show 6 was Jamie Archer, 33, who got the party started with a hoppin’ version of “Radio Ga Ga.” The London rocker gave it his all but the judges seemed mostly unimpressed.

Judge Dannii Minogue said, “You really know how to rock the crowd, but it didn’t show off your vocal abilities.”

Louis Walsh sounded like Simon. “It was a crowd-pleasing song, but we’re looking for something that’s going to sell a million records. You’re totally out of your depth tonight. You are a very ordinary singer with a small voice and very big hair.”

“I thought you kicked off the show well but I don’t like your hair,” was Cheryl Cole’s response.

Simon Cowell, Jamie Archer’s sponsor, supported his protégé, naturally. “You got an incredible reaction from the crowd and tonight you are living the dream.”

My take: I was disappointed but fail to see what Jamie’s hair style has to do with his talent. I mean, really, people!

In a performance that the crowd roaring, blond heartthrob Lloyd Daniels, 16, sang his way through “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” with plenty of self-confidence while wearing a body-hugging pair of leather pants.

“I think you’ve now arrived!” Dannii Minogue stated. “That was your best performance.”

Continuing his impersonation of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh said, “It was so much better than last week because I didn’t think you were very good last week.”

Simon Cowell compared Lloyd to a “puppy running the Grand National. It’s sort of too big for you but you’re having a good time,” whatever that means.

Lloyd’s sponsor, Cheryl Cole, said, “It’s been lovely for me to watch you come into your own. I really feel like the penny dropped to you this week.”

My take: Not bad. The guy is cute as hell. But the last note fell flat, I’m sorry to say.

Next up was Olly Murs, 25, who did his best to ramp up “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

Dannii Minogue told the Essex boy he was “absolutely the show’s best performer, but the song swallowed up the vocal.”

Louis Walsh proclaimed the performance “electrifying” before stating, “I think you’ve got it all!”

“You’ve got that cheeky little edge to you and I think you’ll be here for the long haul,” Cheryl Cole said.

Simon Cowell heaped praise on his student. “You have the ability to always entertain. Every single time you give 150%. You did great tonight.”

My take: Lackluster. I was disappointed.

18 year-old Joe McEdlerry performed a boisterous “Somebody to Love,” much to the joy of his fans, judging from the roar of the crowd.

Dannii Minogue thought Joe was “fantastic” and did “brilliantly,” adding that he “brings it on every week.”

“Really big song for a little guy,” noted Louis Walsh. “You did a great job but I think the choir helped you a lot.”

Simon Cowell said Joe sang better last week but thought he’d be safe.

Sponsor Cheryl Cole said, he was “absolutely fantastic,” and proclaimed him “technically the best singer in this competition.”

My take: Nice clear vocals. The young man is pleasing visually and vocally. Loved the high note! Again, Danyl Johnson could be in jeopardy by this young crooner.

After last week’s so-called shocker that saw Lucie Jones leave the competition, and the massive outcry that crashed the comments section of the X Factor website, John and Edward Grimes were undoubtedly feeling pressured. But as usual, they took control of the stage with a grand entourage backing them up to perform their song “Under Pressure meets Ice Ice Baby.”
.

Dannii Minogue questioned the inclusion of the second section of the medley. “Where does Vanilla Ice fit in with Queen? There’s Louis’s rules and everyone else’s rules.”

Cheryl Cole was pleased to see the crowd chanting “Jedward!” and told the Twink Twins, “You come out here, you put on a hard exterior. You’re 17 year-old lads with an opportunity and you’re running with it. You’re very entertaining. Good for you!”

“I can’t judge you in the real world anymore,” said Simon Cowell, noting if he transported himself to “Jedward-land” he would probably say that it was their best performance yet.”

Louis Walsh, their sponsor, gushed. “Boys, this was the most authentic performance yet. You looked like pop stars!”

My take: These guys are starting to grow on me. They may not be able to sing very well, but they are definitely performance artists. And I like their hair. LOL! Note to Cheryl: Jedward turned 18 October 16th!

Next, the competition’s sole surviving female, Stacey Solomon, 20, belted out the power ballad “Who Wants To Live Forever.”

Louis Walsh proclaimed the performance “Incredible! You looked like you’ve been doing this for years and years.”

Cheryl Cole told the Essex girl, “Absolutely stunning. You sang your socks off!”

“I will always be honest with you,”Simon Cowell said before surprising everyone with, “That was, by a mile, the best performance of the night.”

Photo of Stacey Solomon as a young girl in pig tails. I guess she couldn't find a baby pic!

Dannii Minogue, Stacey’s sponsor, was beaming. “You make me so proud. Let’s just say you deserve to be here.”

My take: Well done. Showed some soul!

Saving the best for last, the show ended with the stadium anthem “We Are The Champions,” performed with passion by our favorite Reading music teacher, Danyl Johnson, 27, invoking the very spirit of gay icon Freddie Mercury.

“I absolutely think that was your best performance in a live show!” howled Dannii Minogue.

Louis Walsh provided a mixed message filled with praise. “There’s nothing wrong with being arrogant and confident if you’ve got the talent to back it up and tonight you’ve proved you’ve got it all! Best performance of the night!”
.

“I wasn’t sure when you started off,” said Cheryl Cole. “But you totally won me over by the end. You look really handsome with your hair like that,” a reference to his “butch” haircut, newly minted last week.

Danyl’s sponsor, Simon Cowell, was beside himself. “Absolutely fantanstic! You sang as if you meant it! Outstanding! Loved it!”
.
My take: Danyl has once again proven he has the soul to win this competition. Bravo!

The 7 last X Factor finalists perform "Bohemian Rhapsody" Sunday night at the Results Show 6. 11-15-09 photo

Sunday’s Show began with the crowd-pleasing Queen song, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” performed by the remaining seven acts with Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Then the audience was treated to an energetic, hip-shaking presentation from South American singing sensation Shakira, singing her new single “Did It Again.”

.
Next all 12 of the original X Factor finalists delivered a mind-blowing performance of their new charity single, “You Are Not Alone.” “This is a national charity that saves the lives of thousands of children each year,” Simon said. “All profits will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital.” Visit their website at www.gosh.org/x-factor.

Led by Danyl Johnson, the 12 last X Factor finalists perform their charity single, "You Are Not Alone." See details below, before the videos.

At last, it was time for the finalists to take the stage to hear the results. The pressure grew as the names were slowly read out . . . Stacey Solomon, Joe McEdlerry, Olly Murs, and yes, Danyl Johnson were all declared safe, leaving only Jamie Archer, Lloyd Daniels, and Jedward up for grabs. Dermot lingered for what seemed like an age before announcing that John and Edward made it through.

In the gut-wrenching sing-off, Jamie Archer performed a passionate “The Show Must Go On” and Lloyd Daniels did a heart-felt “Last Request.”

Simon Cowell was first to choose. “This one I haven’t got to think long about. The artist I’m sending home is Lloyd.”

“I’m going to save the one who has the most potential and appeal,” said Louis Walsh. “The person I’m sending home tonight is Jamie.”

Cheryl Cole appeared flustered. “This is the worst bit for me ‘cause I absolutely hate sending anyone home . . . The act I’m sending home tonight is Jamie.”

Lloyd Daniels looks grim, while Jamie Archer appears chipper while waiting for host Dermot O'Leary to read the final results that will determine who stays and who goes home on Sunday's X Factor Results Show 6. 11-15-09 photo

Then host Dermot O’Leary spoke up. “Dannii, if you go with Jamie, he’s going home tonight. Opt for Lloyd, then we go to deadlock. Name the act you’re sending home.”

Dannii Minogue grimaced. “This is hard . . . We have two pop stars standing in front of us . . . It’s about who sang the best . . . The act I’m sending home tonight is Lloyd.”

“So, two votes for each finalist means it’s deadlocked,” said Dermot, looking at some papers. “We refer to the earlier public vote . . . The act who received the fewest votes . . . is . . . Jamie.”

It was a tension filled weekend, but at least our main man, Danyl Johnson, made it through and continues to wow the audiences! Enjoy all the videos and I’ll talk to you all next week!

Don’t forget the charity single “You Are Not Alone” is available to download now and will be in shops Monday, November16th.
